The PhD programme in Computer and IT Systems Engineering is a 3-year full-time programme provided by coursework and dissertation. It is a multi-disciplinary programme that builds an in-depth knowledge of the foundation principles of engineering. The discipline integrates the strengths of Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering and Electrical Power Engineering in preparing students in pursuing career in academia, research or highly technical entrepreneurial innovation. To be eligible for admission into this programme, the student should satisfy the general University od Dar es Salaam minimum requirements for admission into a PhD programme. For Tanzanian students, the school fee for this programme is TZS 2,500,000/= per year. For international students, the fee is USD 4,020 per year. The fee can be paid in instalments per semester.
