The research project “Developing EDucation with Input from CoordinATED research students (DEDICATED)” is a joint collaborative project between the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM)-Tanzania, University of Oslo (UiO)-Norway, University of Malawi (UNIMA)-Malawi, and University of Eduardo Mondlane (UEM)-Mozambique. The project is funded by Norwegian Directorate for Higher Education and Skills through Norwegian Partnership Programme for Global Academic Cooperation (NORPART). It focuses on building capacity in Health Information Systems (HIS) and Health Informatics (HI) within the partner countries.
DEDICATED is a five-year project focusing on supporting Ph.D. and MSc. research students, MSc. curriculum review, and developing new course modules in Health Informatics. The scope of the research is focused on improving usability, interoperability, and data use of UDSM DHIS2 lab-digital health systems for strengthened impact and sustainability.
The DEDICATED project under the UDSM DHIS2 lab in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering is led by Dr. Honest C. Kimaro as project coordinator and assisted by Dr. Jimmy Mbelwa as a project administrator.
