I am a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, College of Information and Communication Technologies (CoICT) of the University of Dar es Salaam. My areas of research are based on Smart grid control systems, Educational technologies (EdTech), Innovations, and Entrepreneurship.
I have a PhD from the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) in Tanzania and the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) Department of Electronics in Sweden. My PhD research focused on the enhancement of agent-based controlling and monitoring on solar-driven DC microgrid systems. Earlier, I studied BSc in Computer Engineering and IT at the University of Dar es salaam from September 2004 to December 2008, and an MSc degree in Computer Science at the University of Eastern Finland (UEF) from August 2010 to December 2011.
I have been teaching several courses in Programming, Computer Applications, Network Security, Professional Ethics in Computer Science, and e-Commerce Applications. I am also supervising projects for final year students and practical training for continuing students. I have been engaged in developing and maintaining the portal/platforms for PhD students under iGRID project (TTA and iGrid portal). Also since June 2012, I have been involved in mentoring and grooming students at the University of Dar es salaam ICT Incubator (UDICTI).
